Meet Our Leadership

Muriel Yeboah
– Owner

Hello!! I’m Muriel Yeboah, proud owner of Midlothian Kids Academy. I have a double Master’s degree in Geography and Business Administration as well as a Ph.D in Geography. I am an educationist who taught from middle through tertiary institutions for over two decades. My husband John is a physician and has been serving the Richmond/Chesterfield community for over 12 years. We have lived in Midlothian, Chesterfield for over 12 years and now calls it home. From our own experience as working parents, my husband and I know how difficult it can be to find quality childcare that works for both parents and children. It is out of this experience that Midlothian Kids Academy came into existence. We have five children of our own in different generation groups from eight to thirty years.

Myrlin Young
– Director

My name is Myrlin Young, the director at Midlothian Kids Academy. I have been working with children for over 20 years as a mentor and coach, and several years in childcare management. In addition, I have owned and operated a childcare center for five years before relocating to the Virginia; since relocation, I have held several positions within the childcare industries; as a multi-classroom teacher and assistant director, I have worked with all age groups from infant to school age, providing a nurturing, caring and safe environment.

Erica Brown
– Assistant Director

Hello! My name is Erica Brown. I am twenty two years old. Working with children is definitely my passion. I started babysitting for family & close friends when I was pretty young. I volunteered in my church nursery & helped with VBS at my church. I nannied part time as well in high school. The majority of my part time jobs through high school were working with children. I have been with Midlothian Kids Academy since October of 2019 and the lead teacher in Suite 200 for the majority of my time MKA. I am currently pursuing my Child Development Associates – CDA My goal is always to make sure every child in our care feels loved, confident, safe, and are having fun! It is bittersweet to leave my babies in my classroom Suite 200, but I am so excited to take on this role as Midlothian Kids Academy’s assistant director. Thank you to Ms. Muriel, Ms. Myrlin, staff, parents, & children for giving me this opportunity to serve you!
